Course Duration

Full Time : The Course for the Diploma in Engineering shall extend over a period of three academic years, consisting of 6 semesters and the first year is common to all engineering branches

Part Time : The course for the Diploma in Engineering shall extend over a period of four academic years, consisting of 8 semesters and the first year is common to all engineering branches.

Eligibility

For I year – Passed 10th – SSLC/Matric/CBSE/ANGLO

For II year (Lateral entry) – Passed 12th Pure Science | Science with Maths/Vocational / Technical (or) 10th + (2 years I.T.1) with respective specialization.

For Part Time – 10th Pass with work experience (or) 10′ Pass + ITI with appropriate Specialization

For Flexible Learning – H.Sc (+2) PASS (**) with One year working Experience  (or) SSLC with 2 Year ITI course with one year Working experience.

(**) Passed 10+2 examination with Physics/ Mathematics /Chemistry/ Computer Science/Electronics/Information Technology/ Biology/Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/Entrepreneurship (Any of the three).

Admission Procedures & Rules and Regulations

Qualification Criteria

1. Eligibility for securing admissions into I Year / II Year polytechnic is governed by AICTE, New Delhi & Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai.

2. The approval from Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai stands final for the admissions made by the Institutions. The students cannot claim any rights for the admissions made if the admissions are denied by the directorate.

3. It is mandatory to submit all the necessary credentials like S.S.L.Certificate / Matriculation Examination Certificate / H.5 Certificate / C.B.S.E. Certificate / I.C.S.E Certificate or any other exams recognised or equivalent to the S.S.L.0 Examination by the Board of Secondary Examination, Tamilnadu, Transfer Certificate, Community Certificate. Equivalence Certificate, Migration Certificate.

Instruction to the Applicants

  • Kindly read all the items carefully before filling up the form.
  • Fill up in capital letters
  • Attach all the testimonials to substantiate filled up.
  • Photo copies of all the originals attested by the gazetted officer should be enclosed.
  • A Passport size 2 x 2 neatly dressed with Coat and Tie should be enclosed
  • The seat / branch allocation is strictly on merit basis and the marks obtained by the students in their exams.
  • The branch once allotted will be the final and cannot be changed.
  • All the courses have good entity and it is the duty of the students to get them updated based on the current scenario. Sufficient information regarding the courses will be imparted to the students and the parents.

Code of Conduct

4. All the certificates shall be scrutinized and if any discrepancies like submission of false certificate is an offence and shall be severely dealt as per laws enacted by Govt of India / Tamilnadu. Such cases will be treated as tarnishing the image of the Institution and shall be prosecuted under court of law and any fee paid shall be forfeited. All the legal matters are subject to Coimbatore jurisdiction.

5. Every students shall follow the rules and regulations of the college from time to time.

6. No students shall be allowed to absent / bunking from their regular classes without prior information. Failure to comply this shall be treated as indiscipline and will be liable for necessary action. Absenting due to unfortunate circumstances like sickness / illness shall be considered and in such cases necessary evidence like prescription / discharge certificate / medical certificate has to be produced.

7. Students should follow the dress code prescribed by the Institution. They shall wear their skirt tucked in with shoes and ID card. No other dress shall be allowed other than uniform. Jeans material of any kind is prohibited.

8. The campus is educational zone and using any sort of material made out of tobacco / cigars / chewing gum / alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited and using such material is injurious to health. If any students found consuming these articles shall be dealt severely and they may even expelled from the college.

9. The students shall not engage / co-ordinate / participate in any kind of political activities / communal activities and violence. Such cases will be treated as indiscipline and liable to be summarily dismissed.

10. Students causing any kind of damage to the properties of the college shall be dealt severely and punishment with penalty for the nature of damages caused shall be levied and the subsequently the student shall be terminated.

11. The college is run as per the directions from the Directorate of Technical Education and shall abide rules governed by the Directorate. Accordingly 80% attendance is essential to appear for his / her semester examination conducted by the DOTE and there will be no relaxation under our purview and decision of the DOTE is final.

12. Ragging by any means (as per government directives) shall be severely dealt and even they may face prosecution under court of low.

13. Using of Mobile phones / I Pod / I Pod is barred inside the campus and maximum two oral warning shall be given and if used even after the warning their cell phones shall be seized.

14. The rules and regulations may be changed from time to time by the Head of the Institution as per norms framed by the Government of Tamilnadu and Government of India.

15. Each student along with the parent shall exercise on affidavit stating the declaration with the rules and regulations to be followed by each student in the Institutions and the hostel. The affidavit shall be duly attested by a Notary public.

16. The SSLC/CBSE/ICSE certificates, Community Certificate, Equivalence Certificate and other certificate related to DOTE verification shall not be issued back unless the scrutinization process is completed.

17. The attendance is monitored very closely for each student on day to day basis. The parent should realize the significance of the attendance of the ward and shall keep in touch with tutors/HOD’s and check whether the ward is attending classes regularly and appearing the monthly tests/ unit tests/ board exams.

18. Fee once paid shall not be refundable. Representation by any means in this issue is strictly prohibited.
