Overview

EEE forms the basis of all other fields. Here we will come to know the construction & working of all electrical equipment and all about electricity. Thus diploma holders (EEE) can be employed in TNEB's, generating stations, electrical based industries as well as in software companies. Here we study elective paper like CEM — High voltage operations in industries, Electrical Estimation — Designing & Wiring domestic, commercial buildings, CHN — Networking of systems and latest hardware details of the system. Broad disciplines are Electrical Engineering & Electronic Engineering.

Eligibility

Full Time: The Course for the Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering shall extend over a period of three academic year, consisting of 6 semesters and the first year is Common to all Engineering branches.

For I year

Passed 10th – SSLC/Matric/CBSE/ANGLO / 8th + 2years I.T.I

For II year (Lateral entry)

Passed 12th Pure Science | Science with Maths/Vocational /
Technical (or) 10th + (2yearsI.T.1)withrespectivespecialization.

For Part Time

10th Pass with 2 Years work experience (or) 10th Pass + ITI with appropriate Specialization

ELECTRICAL MACHINES LABORATORY

The Students will be able to:

- Make the various Circuit connections in Machines Laboratory
- Understand the Characteristics of Electrical Machines and to determine the Efficiency of the Machines
- Test the performance of Transformer to find its Efficiency, Voltage Regulation and Characteristics.
- Study the various Speed Control Methods of DC Motor.
- Understand the characteristics of AC Machines.

To impart Practical Knowledge to the Diploma Students and Practical Subjects are introduced for every corresponding Theory Subject

POWER ELECTRONICS LABORATORY

Students will be able to learn:

The advent of Thyristors has revolutionized art of Electric Power Conversation and its Control.

The use of the Power Electronic Devices has pervaded the Industrial Applications relating to the field of Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation and Control Engineering.

This Subject is introduced to impart practical skills to the students in using some important Power Electronic Devices and Circuits.

WIRING AND WINDING LABORATORY

To provide concept and hands on experience in Electrical Wiring and Winding including different Wiring Systems, Installation Methods and Basic Winding Preparation. Each topic in the syllabus serves as guide for students to deal with the process of connecting various accessories for the distribution of Electrical Energy from the Meter Board.
