Civil Engineering
Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like bridges, roads, canals, dams, and buildings. It is traditionally broken into several sub-disciplines including environmental engineering, geo - technical engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, municipal or urban engineering, water resources engineering, materials engineering, coastal engineering, surveying, and construction engineering. In our college, the civil department trains all the students to handle advance equipments like Total Station.
Eligibility
The Course for the Diploma in Civil Engineering shall extend over a period of three academic years, consisting of 6 semesters and the first year is common to all engineering branches.

MATERIAL TESTING LABORATORY
A material testing laboratory in civil engineering serves several important objectives,
all of which contribute to ensuring the quality, safety, and reliability of construction projects.
These objectives include:
1. Quality Control:
2. Compliance with Standards:
3. Material Characterization:
4. Performance Assessment:

SURVEYING LABORATORY
A surveying laboratory in civil engineering serves several important objectives, which
are integral to the education and training of civil engineering students and the advancement of
surveying knowledge and technology. The specific objectives of a surveying laboratory may
vary depending on the educational institution and its goals, but here are some common
objectives:
1.Practical Skill Development:
2.Data Collection and Analysis:
3.Instrument Familiarity:
4.Fieldwork Practice:

CONCRETE TECHNOLOGY
Concrete technology is a crucial field of study in civil engineering, as concrete is one
of the most widely used construction materials. The practical objectives of concrete technology
in civil engineering encompass a wide range of goals and skills. Here are some of the key
objectives:
1. Understanding Concrete Mix Design:
2. Material Selection:
3. Proportioning and Batching:
4. Mixing and Handling:
5. Workability and Consistency:
6. Curing and Protection:
7. Quality Control and Testing:
